hey gang! time to let you know whazzap.

due to my unplanned streaming hiatus i’ve actually had time to draw and make music again, and i’ve got some new stuff to share on those fronts.

i’ve also got some video and streaming updates.

here we go:

NEW ART

“STRIKING IT RICH”
this is a cover for a story that i recently wrote about one of my characters coming across a mysterious USB drive. the story is too cringe to share, but i really like how the cover turned out so i put it in my gallery.

“EXOBASE”
here’s another picture of my musical duo Exobase! you’ve seen the name before on some Music Time, Moose! tracks, but i think this may be the first time that i’m publicly connecting the band name with the characters. this was going to be a cover for their first album, but i still haven’t finished it and when i do i’ll probably want to make some fresh art for it. so here you go.

NEW MUSIC

HURT
a song inspired by tough feelings. this is my most recent track, and i’m really happy with it! i feel like somber music in 3/4 time is my wheelhouse.

YUUTO’S SONG
this is an updated/expanded version of the theme song for the character featured in the ‘Striking It Rich’ art piece up above. the original version that i posted featured a Theremin-like sound, but the violin is a recurring theme for the character so i knew that eventually it’d need to be strings – i just didn’t have any good violin VSTs on hand. now that i have one that’s competent enough, here we are.

WALTZ / CAROUSEL / LOVE
lately i’ve been trying to do daily music doodles – songs that are limited in both structure and in the number of instruments that i use. i just try and get them done as much as possible in a single day (during editing breaks) and move on to the next one. these 3 are examples of that practice. ideally i’d like to amass a ton of tracks like these to use in a game at some point, though that dream is still pretty far away from being realized. still, i hope you enjoy!

OTHER STUFF

UPCOMING VIDEO
i am currently deep into the edit of the next brutalfoods. i really wanted to upload 2 videos this month, but November has been pretty chaotic for me and i’ll only be able to offer the one. i also continue to underestimate how long it takes to edit videos that i film on my bluescreen, even if i’m not trying to do anything too crazy with the background. just takes fuckin’ forever, man. i may stick with filming in my office for the rest of the year once i’m done with this video, just to cut down on the production time.

BRUTALMEWS
the brutalmews video i was working on has not panned out as planned, so it’s on the backburner for now. i’ve saved all the footage that i got, i just need to get some more toys for MJ to test out so that it’s not all centered around one that she had no interest in.

STREAM
i am so sorry for the long delay, streamfriends. i intended to be back earlier than now, but honestly this month has been so rocky that i don’t think i’d have been in a great streaming mood anyway. i will be back before the end of the year – though i’m not sure when. i’ve got a pile of fanmail that stares at me every day and makes me feel the non-streaming guilt.

that’s all the updates i have for now! i really hope fans of my art and music are satisfied, if they’re even still around. it’s been a while since i’ve posted any of either. i have really been enjoying drawing and music-ing again lately, so hopefully i can post more in 2025 than i did this year. same goes for videos, honestly. i feel like for better or worse, 2024 was a streaming year for me primarily.
