i’ve really been missing just taking a movie off of the shelf and talking about it, so here we are!
i know i’ve talked/blogged a lot over the past year(s) about wanting to do more non-food content, but i’m finally following through. trying to not concern myself with what The Algorithm thinks, and instead just talk about anything that strikes my fancy in the moment. today, that’s Master of Disguise – a movie i’ve wanted to blab about for years.

i hope you enjoy this one! i feel like it took me a little time to find my rhythm while working on this video because i haven’t done a scripted movie review in over a year, and even then the Paul Blart video had an additional gimmick to tie it all together. but once i settled in i had a lot of fun! the format feels a little “dated” in terms of what’s hot on youtube right now, but i’m hoping that at this point there’s some nostalgia for whiny guys comedically whining about movies.

i’m already working on 2 new videos – one is a brutalmews staring MJ, and one is a new entry in a show that i’ve abandoned for a while, but is often requested. i’m also aiming to do a food video in late october, so don’t worry about the food videos vanishing.

i’m not making any promises, but i really do hope i can get to the point where i’m posting a couple of videos a month over a variety of topics, rather than just a food video every other month. nothing to it but to do it!

this video was a lot of fun to put together! i tried not to overthink things and just have a good time eating noodle and editing video, and i hope that shows.

now that this is done, i’m going to get back to work on my next movie review! i’ve already got a rough draft done on the script, so hopefully i can just keep the ball rolling. i’d also like to get live on Twitch in the near future, especially since i just kind of unceremoniously vanished. i will say, though, that the time away has been super productive, and im so excited to make some more videos. feeling good!

after spending like 5 months getting the TGI Friday’s video out of my system, i’m feeling ready to settle in and start making some more videos that aren’t bluescreen VFX extravaganzas. i’ll make more of those for sure, but for now i’d really like to try and upload more often and explore my various show formats that have been dormant for a while.
