Have you played obsidian? It's from 1997 and in my opinion is probably the best myst clone ever made and is even better than the original myst. It also has fmv like most myst clones but it's actually pretty well done.It's definitely not as good as riven, but it's still comes highly recommended.

I haven't, actually! Sounds awesome, though. I haven't played many myst clones, actually. I hear there are some good ones!
