Ian you need to see these. Tonka Construction has a sequel which shipped with an amazing 16 minute 3D animated film that took up 1/3rd of the CD-ROM. I don't even know how to describe it. It has it all; fires, avalanches, and Tonka Joe driving directly into an active volcano with (his?) young children in the passenger seat. This incarnation of Tonka Joe is maybe the most stupidly masculine cartoon character I've ever seen. Totally shredded, is implied to both visit space and deal with nuclear disasters, drives around in one of his many 30 foot tall jet powered monster hot rods, and builds one from scratch in what must have been 15 minutes tops. If you like it they also came out with a 1 hour straight to VHS/DVD animated film that seems to feature some of the same toys, themes, and characters. Oftentimes Tonka has had a rocky relationship with realism and this is from a point when they seemed very interested in seeing other people. It's ultimate fan service for 5 year old boys and was possibly written by one. Enjoy.
