Hiya, Ian - recently to pass time while I do other work I've been watching the Food Network series Unwrapped from the beginning (around 2001) and the vibes are kinda similar to your videos (although not nearly as chaotic lol)

Believe it or not, I'm actually not a very big fan of food related media! I find it kind of same-y most of the time. I don't tend to watch anything outside of the occasional Hell's Kitchen season, and that's more for the swearing than the cooking lmao

Hello dR. iAN, big fan here. I was hoping to ask you for any possible advice on a new endeavor. I have just potentially lucked into a vhs-c palmcorder and am considering an attempt at recording some videos with it for that beautiful old school aesthetic you have achieved on your streams and mystery tape vids. I plan on doing some research, but any advice from an old pro would be amazing. Any potential snafus to anticipate? Will I have trouble getting my pc to recognize the device? Etc. Thanks for any advice you can offer and also your amazing videos. Big fan, idk if I mentioned that before.

I think VHS-C should be a pretty easy format to work with, honestly! I'm not sure if connecting the camera directly to the PC will work or not, but it should definitely work with a video upscaler and an HDMI capture card. You can also get adapters so you can play VHS-C tapes in VCRs, if that's a route you want to go.

Hello Ian, I'm a long time fan of yours. I have a really hard time watching live streams but I really love watching your VODs on YouTube when going to bed. Lately you've played Oregon Trail and those variety games. I just want to say thar I hope for more Oregon Trail, more of any games you've previously reviewed really, and that I hope for more old school PC games.
The feel, art and music of all of those games is really calming and you seem to find really niche games which I think we all love. I had just missed that era of PC games as I was born in 2000, and seeing them through the eyes of someone who experienced it first hand is fantastic.

Hi Ian! I was wondering what the dvd you use for stock footage at the beginning of your streams is called? The DVD's I use for my streams are ones that I've burnt for myself, but I think what you're actually after are the retro ads and whatnots that I used to use when I had my Drive-In theming. You can find a lot of those just by searching around YouTube and Archive.org! Just use search terms like 'vintage ads' and whatnot.
