You are simply next-level. Cultural anthropology in real time with razor wit, impeccable timing, and the kind of honesty present in all truly great, era-defining art.

All this from Hungry-Man 2. Absolutely cannot wait to binge the rest of your flowering genius.

I love your videos! I’ve shown many of them to mom and dad and they do too. Hell, even my aunt stopped in when I was rewatching some brutal foods videos and she was dying laughing at your style of humor. We actually made the Texas yum yum pie last year... it was great! I saw in the latest mystery tapes your website and hoped it was going to look like a glorious Web 1.0 deal. You did not disappoint. I wish you all the best, Ian!

Love your stuff! SUPER random request but, if you ever come across an eye surgery tape from 1992, it might be mine - it got lost in a rushed move, and I’m super heartbroken - and I’m always keeping an eye out for it on your channel!

Been getting into old VHS myself. Once I cycle through a bunch of them I'd love to ship the better ones out to you. Shoot me an email at lhollisdesign@gmail.com with a way to send those to you if you are interested.

I saw a video by Techmoan about Densha De Go!! (電車で Go!!) It’s an arcadey train sim and it looks really fun I think it’d be way up your alley. There’s also a new version for PS4 which looks really fun though I don’t think it uses the sim controller. I really wanna try it as soon as the price drops I even made a Japanese PSN account to check on it. Anyways if you find it interesting I’d love to see a stream/video on it. It fits your arcade obsessions as well as the truck streams really well. Anyways thanks for being my favorite for like 6 years.

Hello! Just wanted to say, I've been a fan of your channel since 2013. It definitely wasn't the content I should have been watching at age 10 but oh well. I won't lie, I didn't know you had art or music until about 6 minutes ago when I stumbled on the website, but holy cow! Love to see it. Side note, it's nuts how much your content has changed in the last 8 years or so. I'm glad that you're able to make stuff you want to make rather than sticking to the same formula! That's all I wanted to say really. Ur cool 🙂

Hello Ian and [NON-DESCRIPT READER]. I am simply dropping by to tell you how much I appreciate the latest Mystery Tapes, and that your videos are my favorite on all of YouTube. You never fail to make me laugh, whether through your writing or your editing skills. I feel like you are really excelling when you are producing new and different content, whether it's Televoid, Mystery Tapes or BrutalFoods. Whatever you seem to try, it always works out! (Or at least from what we see, since I doubt you'd upload something devoid of creativity and fun.)

I am very excited to see what you have in store for the future, especially that very special project you speak of. Have a wonderful January, and say hi to MJ for me. Cheerio!

Hey Ian, just wanted to drop by and say thank you for making top quality content! You're one of those people who can do a video about anything and still make it the best quality. I hope that you take good care of yourself in the meantime. See you around!

I didn't even know you HAD a website until I saw the end of that newest VHS video! Neat!

meowdy... just wanted to say that your videos always cheer me up. i've been watching for a long time, like 5-6 years i think? i can get stuck in my own head a lot, but watching your videos makes me feel a lot better. your editing is always fun and i like how your videos are about more mundane things, like frozen food and sold-as-blank vhs tapes. it feels more tangible than other youtubers, if that makes sense? i don't really know what i'm getting at but i just wanted to say thank you for brightening up my day.
also your website is cool!!
keep on doin what you do!

love,
sunny

Hi Ian! Small question for you: do you off-handedly remember what the name of the music track used at around 10:05 in your peanut butter surprise video is?? You've used it in a few videos and it's regularly stuck in my head. Thanks!

sup ian! i was going through some random channels and i thought this may interest you:
https://youtu.be/mGdPMpkkM9k

those are stunning, stupidly high quality transfers from 35mm film, used on drive-in intermissions back in the day. watching that instantly reminded me of your streams.
hope ya had a great holiday and we await your return 👋

Hi! Please make a brutal foods review on "Devour" frozen food. They're absolutely delicious and I love you and your beard. Thanks.

Hi there Ian! I actually want to make a sizable contribution to your Mystery Tapes series (it'd be somewhere in the neighborhood of 30+ tapes sold as used blanks). How can I go about sending you that? You can go ahead and email me at bjwanlund(at)gmail(dot)com and we can get the logistics handled offline to protect your information. --BJ

Thank you for the offer, BJ! I currently don't have a PO Box to receive these kinds of donations, but I'm hoping to open one once the world re-opens a little bit more.
