producing a casual video for moose2

Beep boop, I’m transmitting a message from my secret mountaintop broadcast station.

Today I filmed a new video, but not for my main channel. Can you guess which channel it’s for? I bet you can’t. It’s my second channel. youtube.com/moose2.

moose2 wasn’t originally supposed to be a simple stream archive. If you can remember back to when I launched the channel, I actually started off by posting a film-edit-music-video for a song that I composed. The channel was supposed to be kind of like what my website is now, a hub of my other talents/interests separate from my main YouTube shtick. At the time, though, I was only really interested in making music, and as I streamed more often it made less sense to me to post music with static images there.

But now I want to try occasionally making videos specifically for moose2 to post alongside my streams (which I have a plan for by the way I’m sorry for being gone so long!). I really want to keep my main channel as a place for videos that I put a lot of effort into producing, but I’m feeling like some side-videos could be really fun every now and again as kind of a break but still working (my favorite kind of break).

And so far it has been fun! Today I sat down and talked about the various cameras I use to film my shows, of which I have many. I’ve already started editing, and the hope is to finish it tomorrow, but realistically I might need 2 more days. Either way, I feel like it’s coming together nicely, and I think those interested in the topic will enjoy it! And maybe some other people that just need some chill background noise.

So that’s what’s going on now, alongside some 3D modelling and Big Video editing. Also I’ve started watching the next Mystery Tapes tape, and it has not disappointed so far. My house secret mountaintop broadcast station is looking very Christmassy these days, and if you stay tuned I’ll post some holiday MJ pictures soon. She likes the compliments that you all give to her. I hope you all are doing well! Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see me talk about or do in a smaller/lower effort/off-the-cuff video.

Also, thank you all for the Polar Express stream ideas on my last post! I’ve read them and I shall harness their power and use it for good.

Also-Also, what is your favorite chip to eat? No reason.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Favorite chip? Maybe, kettle-cooked potato chips. Super crunchy.

P.S. Do you have any merch for sale anywhere? Like hats, shirts, or sweatshirts? Anyway, thank-you for all the great videos, Ian! Have a good one!

Bowen

Thanks for letting me know man!

All the best,
– Bowen

How long do you think the camera discussion vid will be when it’s done? It’ll be nice to learn and also keep on casually just in case.
As for chip? I like baked chips with light flavors now, but I’m also curious to try sweet potato chips…

thechubbypirate

I agree with Bowen’s kettle-cooked recommendation, but I would also slap a salt and vinegar label on there. 🙂 I eat kettle cooked salt and vinegar chips almost every day and it’s kind of an obsession.

Looking forward to the new video, Ian!

Willy

Favorite chip? Spicy Nacho flavored Doritos, if I’m not careful I will eat the whole bag

Really looking forward to your streams again whenever you get around to it again, I miss them! Thank you for working so hard to create some of my favorite content on the Web. Happy holidays!

Ferret

Definitely a fan of more iAN vids, especially if they won’t stress you too much like the main channel stuff can. A vid on camera setup sounds really interesting, so super looking forward to it.

I’m with the other commenters and gotta say kettle chips are my fave but I do love good sour cream and onion or all dressed chip.

theresa_on_the_web

oooooh! sour cream and onion! I haven’t had those in forever. yum!

Allison

I’d love to see more chill videos on moose2. That sounds like fun! As for favorite chip, I’m gonna be a plain jane for saying this, but I like just regular plain potato chips, although I have rediscovered Lays Stax which are Lays version of Pringles. They’re salter than Pringles but have a more solid crunch to them. They’re really good!

Always interested to see the things you cook up (pun not intended) I look forward to see you show cameras on cameras.
Chip-wise, I know that they’re legally not allowed to be called this, but I’ve always been a Pringles man. Peace and love!

Here are my bad ideas for your consideration:
1) Ian cleans his office/reviews cleaning supplies
2) History of Ian’s video making. What got you started? How did you learn? What jobs did you do pre-YouTube? What made you go full time YouTube?
3) Tour of Ian’s equipment. What do you prefer to use and why? What did you try but didn’t work for you?
4) MJ reviews toys or foods or beds. Or just plays. Or sleeps. We love MJ

Favorite chip? Original Sunchips. They’re just so different from other chips that it makes them special to me.

Sean Stevens

Oooooooo they don’t count, but hot&spicy cheez-its are sadly underloved. Real chip is probably Cool Ranch Doritos. Yummy.

Alex

I like a nice Dorito, no flavour preference (:

Beth

Ooh super excited to see this! It’s always really cool when creators branch out into other mediums, even temporarily.
And honestly, pizza Pringles are just too good. Weird choice, but pizza Pringles for sure. Speaking of weird, have you ever tried Japanese corn chips? Like normal chips, but flavored like corn, specifically creamed corn.

Ivy

I don’t really have a favorite chip, I love trying different and weird things. My partner bought me some red wine vinegar chips to try, and I’m looking forward to it! Also, cricket chips are not bad ✨

Dani The Demon

Favorite chips are Limon chips. I sure hope you find a reason I A N.

Alison

My favourite chips are Smith’s cheese and onion.
Though this is an Aussie talking.
Can’t wait for more videos, always enjoy watching them with the hubby.
Thanks for being you 🙂

Kiera

my favorite chip? classic pringles salt and vinegar, I used to eat those wayyyy too much as a kid. Aside from that a jalapeño flavored chip is also good.

Excited for the polar express stream!!

MX Woods3

Can’t wait for the new video and looking forward to the polar express stream as well as the the big video!

Also my favorite chips are paqui Ghost pepper chip. They are extremely spicy but have a nice kettle crunch and the blend of spices taste so good that even though your mouth is on fire you can’t help but keep going back for more.

LockedBox

I dunno about favourite, but the other day me and a friend went out to a greek place for lunch and got some really good halloumi chips. If you’ve never had those it’s a type of firm salty cheese that’s then battered and fried. Super light and crunchy on the outside and melty and tangy on the inside. They were good enough to be worth the heart attack they’ll surely give me. In terms of regular store bought chips, red rock deli are my go to, especially their sweet chilli flavoured ones.

Ludroidman

How’s it like at the secret mountaintop broadcast station, Ian?

Also, my favorite chip is the Kettle brand sea salt variety.

Kyle

Just want to say that I loved the casual video. Can’t wait to see more of them.
