hi ian! i've been watching your videos for a very long time and you've gotten me into collecting old games. what do you use to play windows 98 and XP games because some of them are extremely hard to get to run on windows 11. any advice on that would be great! thanks have a great day 🙂
Admin Reply by: ian
hey ava! i use actual old hardware to run these old PC games. i've got a machine that runs Windows 98, and another that runs XP/Vista. I then capture their video/audio output onto my modern PC.

if you're looking at running some of these old games on a modern PC, you'll likely have to look into running what's called a Virtual Machine. best of luck!

hello ian brutal moose aka ian brutal foods!

big fan! just saw your recent hot dog taco video. oh boy! lots going on! loved every minute of it!

you mentioned at the start of the video that something Happened to your kitchen - what, if you don't mind my asking, specifically Happened? a fire? a flood? i cannot tell what the black stuff on your floor is in the photos, and as a safety-conscious person, i'm very curious.

best of luck with the new kitchen, and i hope you make lots of tasty stuff in there! especially after the hot dog tacos!

yippee! bye!

yeah, so about a year ago the water line that ran into my fridge's ice maker sprung a leak. since it's a walled-in fridge, we didn't notice it until the water soaked through the wall into the living room. it was a huge ordeal.

Hi Ian!

Long time fan here, since the gaming days, just want to say that your videos are awesome and that I love your editing style. I'm studying film and animation in college, so I know how editing can be, and that you put a lot of effort into it. It doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you for your work, it's very entertaining and satisfying to watch! You have an amazing since of comedy and timing.

Best,
~~~ matt m.
How long does it usually take to make a video and edit it?
Admin Reply by: ian
i really cant say, it varies video to video. some videos i can get done in a couple weeks, but then the TGI Friday's video took me months.
Ians videos are always amazing and I love to watch everytime they come out
Ian is so cool
My wife and I discovered your videos through the tv dinners video on pies that you did and could not stop laughing. We were very charmed by your editing. Your recent TGI Fridays video was a fun ride with lots of detail and seemed like so much work. I loved the video game theme. I also was happy to see that you do art. Keep up the creative and wacky content, we love it!
Hello all. I think I've done one of these before but I can't remember! I just included the website because why not!
Hope everyone is doing well! I pop in to the chat here and there but I'm more of a vod watcher!
Love all of the content made. I've been watching for years and wanted to say thanks! Definitely a big inspiration for some content I've pursued like videos and music!
That's it really! Everyone who has checked out this website is cool lol! 🙂
hi brutaljuice, i hope you are having a good day
i enjoy all of your series, but i am hoping for a return to Mystery Tapes soon (i just started my VHS collection). Speaking of, what is your favorite tape you've found?
thank you
Admin Reply by: ian
thanks mike! i've actually just recently booted up the mystery tapes machine over here, i'm currently capturing a bunch of tapes and looking out for anything interesting. best of luck with your VHS collection!
i'm not sure that i have a favorite tape, however i did end up being really stoked about the "Secret Life of Barbie" news segment that i found on one of them. it ended up being lost media that some in the doll community were looking for, and a lot of people were happy to see it uploaded on my MysteryTapesArchives channel. so that was really special.
did you ever play runescape back in the day? if you did i wonder if we ever saw eachother woodcutting
Admin Reply by: ian
oh yeah, i played a ton of runescape back in the day. i'm playing runescape right now as i'm typing this, actually.
i started on "RS Classic" back when it was modern and played all the way through to EOC and when they axed free trade and the wildy. got back into it when Old School came around and free trade was restored. never really got into woodcutting, but who knows it's possible you saw me around!
first thing that came to mind was a Jimmy John #1
it did not materialize, however.
I wish I had more to say, but what are your thoughts on Windows Vista?
Admin Reply by: ian
i remember being super excited for it, getting into a beta for it, and just generally being really stoked. it ran really slow on my PC, though, and i wasn't able to use all of the cool visual effects. also having to allow programs to run constantly was super annoying.
that said, i haven't used it in forever. i did recently get a PC that dual-boots XP and Vista, though, so maybe i should check it out.
Howdy, just watched the "TGI FRIDAY'S FROZEN FOODS" video and I am amazed by the amount of effort put into a single video about frozen food. Truly outstand Mr. Moose.
Love to see the passion put into every video, keep up that saucy goodness.
Also, did you do any of the 3D modeling for the video?
Admin Reply by: ian
thank you so much robert!
and yes, i did do the 3D modeling for the video! some objects in the scene (the trees, ketchup bottles, napkin holders) were purchased assets to save me some time, but otherwise i worked alone on that video.
I flew from the tropics
To star in the big topics.
I worked with the fruit cart.
Now I've learned acrobatic arts.
Across the desert dry and sandy.
Could I please have some cotton candy?
We used to roam the Serengeti.
I really feel like some spaghetti!
Come on, you two! Let's sing now and eat later. OK, everybody.
The circus, the circus.
We're the animals in the circus.
We've seen country towns.
And city lights.
A different audience every night.
We might be tall.
Or likely tiny.
We keep our costumes bright and shiny.
The circus, the circus.
We're the animals in the circus.
Who thought that we'd be having so much fun?
We get to sing.
And dance.
We get to jump and prance.
And have a nice place to sleep
And plenty to eat!
But when the show is done...
In the circus, the circus.
We're the animals in the circus.
The circus, the circus.
We're the animals in the circus.
Hey Ian! I've been watching your videos for a bit. I think maybe the first brutalmoosian video I watched was some time around 2018-2019, and I think it was the one titled "Hungry-Man - TV Dinner Reviews - brutalfoods". After that, I knew I found a favorite Youtuber. I would watch your other brutalfoods videos, as well as your kind of like, surreal video game videos? Like the ones you did on "The Coin Game" and "Soda Drinker Pro." I also recently tried out one of your mystery tapes videos, and I thought it was pretty good. Oh, also forgot to mention, those mall videos! Those are great, terrific, everyone agrees. Also, I love your arcade videos as well, lovely. Even though you do such a variety of things on your channel, they all kind of feel the same in a good way. You add a certain aesthetic? You add a certain feeling to your videos, but it's always good I guess. Watching a brutalmoose video is kind of like having a lucid dream while it's raining outside after a long day of work. Something I appreciate about your videos is that it seems like you enjoy making them, so all of your content seems very genuine. Ok well I think I'm done with my thought dump. I think I have some questions though:
1. Will you maybe be reviewing more surreal games?
2. What is/are your favorite game(s)?
Admin Reply by: ian
i'd love to review some more surreal games, honestly! i don't have any immediate plans, but i would like to get back on the game review train sooner rather than later
i'd say my favorite games are Riven and the Shenmue series. i used to really love the Uncharted series too, but haven't played in a while.
Hey moose! Just watched the VoD of Luke and You playing survivor together. I'd love to see more streams like that in the future. If not possible that's okay, but it would be very cool 🙂
